Buying a golf cart

What golf carts do you sell?

We sell new Denago EV electric golf carts and LSVs, plus pre-owned electric and gas carts. We're Ocala and Lady Lake's only authorized Denago EV dealer. You can browse everything in stock on our live inventory.

What warranty comes with a new Denago?

Every new Denago comes with a lifetime chassis warranty, an 8-year warranty on the lithium battery, and a 2-year warranty on major parts and components. Warranty terms are set by Denago EV and can change, and as an authorized dealer we do Denago warranty work in our own Ocala and Lady Lake shops. More about Denago.

How far does a Denago go on a charge?

Most Denago models are rated for 40+ miles on a charge and recharge in about 5 hours. Real-world range depends on passengers, hills, speed, tire size and accessories like lift kits and sound systems.

Should I buy a gas or electric golf cart?

Electric carts are quiet, smooth and need less routine upkeep, and lithium models need no battery watering. Gas carts refuel in minutes and suit long days far from a charger. Tell us how and where you drive, and we'll help you pick. We sell and service both.

Which Denago is best for The Villages?

For our Villagers we usually suggest the Denago Rover XL with a larger battery, a custom rain enclosure and custom bucket seats. Before adding a lift kit, taller roof or light bar, check your height against our Villages tunnel heights.

Financing

Do you offer golf cart financing?

Yes. We offer 0% APR for 48 months on select Denago EV models for qualified buyers through Denago Dealer Direct, plus financing through Sheffield Financial and Campus USA Credit Union. Financing is subject to credit approval, and terms can change. See financing options.

Will checking my financing options hurt my credit?

Pre-qualifying online with Sheffield Financial won't affect your credit score. For the other programs, ask us and we'll explain how each application works.

Service & repairs

What golf carts do you service?

Our technicians work on gas and electric carts, including Denago EV, Yamaha, Club Car and E-Z-GO. We handle batteries, diagnostics, gas engine service, cosmetic and paint repairs, and yearly maintenance. See all services.

Can you convert my cart from lead-acid to lithium?

Yes. A lithium conversion makes your cart lighter and gives you a longer-lasting, maintenance-free battery with no watering.

Do you pick up and deliver carts for service?

Yes, we can pick up your cart and bring it back when it's done. Call either location to set it up.

How often should my golf cart be serviced?

We recommend a yearly maintenance checkup. It catches small problems before they turn into expensive repairs.

Florida golf cart & LSV rules

Do you need a license to drive a golf cart in Florida?

On public roads, Florida requires drivers under 18 to have a learner's license or driver license, and drivers 18 and older to carry a valid government-issued photo ID (Florida Statute 316.212).

What's the difference between a golf cart and an LSV?

A golf cart tops out under 20 mph and may only use roads a city or county has designated for golf carts. A low-speed vehicle (LSV) goes 20 to 25 mph, must be titled, registered and insured, needs a licensed driver, and can use roads posted at 35 mph or less (Florida Statute 316.2122).

Can you make my golf cart street legal?

Yes, we do street-legal LSV conversions. An LSV needs equipment such as headlights, brake lights, turn signals, taillights, reflectors, mirrors, a windshield, seat belts and a VIN, plus a title, registration and insurance. We'll walk you through what your cart needs. Custom upgrades.

Can I drive my golf cart at night in Florida?

Florida law allows golf carts on public roads from sunrise to sunset. Night driving is only allowed where the local government permits it, and the cart must have headlights, brake lights, turn signals and a windshield.

The Villages

Will my golf cart fit through The Villages tunnels?

Most Villages tunnels clear about 6'5" or more at the sides, but the lowest listed clearance is 63 inches. Measure the highest point of your cart, including any roof rack, light bar or antenna, and check it against our Villages tunnel heights tool.

What are the golf cart rules in The Villages?

The Village District's rules say drivers need a valid government-issued photo ID, and drivers under 18 need a driver license or learner's license. Golf carts are limited to 20 mph, may use neighborhood streets, marked roadside lanes and multi-modal paths, and aren't allowed on roads posted 35 mph or more. Golf carts should never enter a roundabout. The Village District Customer Service Center is at 352-753-4508.

Do you serve The Villages?

Yes. Our Lady Lake showroom is right next to The Villages, and we serve The Villages, Lady Lake, Leesburg, Ocala and the surrounding area for sales, service and upgrades.
